Privacy notice Who we are Meansmith is operated by DZB MEDIA LLC. We connect business-purpose financing requests with financing partners. We are not a lender, we do not make credit decisions, and sending a request to us is not an application for credit. What we collect What you enter on the request form: the purpose of the financing; the state; the amount requested; monthly revenue; how long the business has operated, as a range; the credit range you estimate; the industry; an optional product preference; for real-estate requests, whether the property will be occupied and whether an entity or an individual is borrowing; and your business name, your name, your email address and your phone number. We also record the campaign tags on the link you used, the page you arrived on, the name of the website you came from, and a reference number and time for your request. The request form runs a bot-detection check from our hosting provider that reads technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated software; it is used for that purpose, not for advertising. What we do not collect We do not ask for Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank logins, tax returns, identity documents or file uploads, and we do not run a credit check. If you tell us the financing is for personal or household use, or for a home you live in, we stop before asking for contact details and keep nothing about you. The request form carries no advertising trackers and no session recording. Our service is for businesses and business-purpose financing and is not directed to anyone under 18. How we handle your request A person at Meansmith reviews your request and compares it with financing partners' current requirements. The tools we use to compare help that person; they do not decide anything on their own. We may contact you by email or phone about your request, its review, and any follow-up needed to handle it. We keep records of what was shown to you, what you agreed to, and what was shared, with whom and when. Financing partners If your request fits and you have agreed, a person at Meansmith decides whether to share it with a financing partner; nothing is shared automatically. A partner that receives your request makes its own decisions, may contact you about it, and may keep what it received under its own privacy notice. Meansmith may receive compensation from financing partners in connection with introductions or requests we share. No approval, rate, amount, timing or partner response is promised. Service providers We use providers that host our website and application, store our database, and provide security and error monitoring. They support the operation of Meansmith, process information only for that purpose, and are not financing partners. Our error monitoring is designed to keep what you submit out of it. We do not provide your information to unrelated advertisers or data brokers for their own advertising or resale. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect Meansmith or others from fraud or harm, or if Meansmith's business is sold or reorganised, in which case this notice continues to apply to it. Improving and promoting Meansmith We may also use information about how people find and use Meansmith to improve the service, understand which outreach is useful, and better serve you and future visitors. Where permitted, we may use limited identifiers and information about how you interacted with Meansmith with advertising platforms to measure our outreach, reconnect with people who have shown interest in Meansmith, and reach audiences who may be interested in similar services. We do not send the financial details of your request, such as the amount, revenue or credit range, to advertising platforms for those purposes. If we begin a marketing program that requires your separate consent or offers an opt-out, we will provide that when the program begins. How long we keep it If your request has not been shared with a financing partner, we keep it for up to 90 days after you send it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We may keep limited records longer when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, handling a dispute, or a legal obligation. How long we keep a request after it has been shared with a partner will be set out here before any partner receives one. Withdrawal and your rights You can ask Meansmith to stop reviewing or sharing your request and delete its active copy, subject to limited records we may need to retain for security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations. A withdrawal cannot recall information already shared with a financing partner with your agreement. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights concerning your personal information, which may include access, correction, deletion, or obtaining a copy. Send any request to privacy@meansmith.com; we may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will not treat you differently for exercising a right that applies to you. Changes If we change this notice, we will publish the new version here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already collected, we will provide any additional notice, consent, or choice required by applicable law.
